Friend Art, de Unhandeijara Lisboa, é uma obra de Mail Art realizada sobre cartão relacionado à Exposição Arte / Correio: Brasil e ao I Seminário de Semiótica e Arte, realizado na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN, em Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, de 16 a 21 de julho de 1981.

No anverso, Unhandeijara Lisboa constrói uma composição por meio de colagem, recorte e sobreposição de papéis. A imagem central apresenta o rosto de uma figura masculina com óculos, barba e cobertura escura na cabeça. Sobre a imagem aparece uma faixa diagonal com a inscrição Freedom is I. Na parte superior da composição encontram se as palavras Friend e Art, formando a expressão Friend Art.

A intervenção ocupa grande parte do espaço originalmente destinado à participação artística. Friend Art, by Unhandeijara Lisboa, is a Mail Art work created on a postcard related to the Exposição Arte / Correio: Brasil and the I Seminário de Semiótica e Arte, held at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from 16 to 21 July 1981.

On the front, Unhandeijara Lisboa constructs a composition through collage, cutting and overlapping pieces of paper. The central image presents the face of a male figure wearing glasses, with a beard and a dark head covering. A diagonal strip bearing the inscription Freedom is I crosses the image. The words Friend and Art appear in the upper portion of the composition, forming the expression Friend Art.

The intervention occupies much of the area originally intended for artistic participation. Torn and overlapping paper elements are incorporated into the visual structure of the work, while portions of the original postcard margins remain visible.
