Work Poem M Arcas, by Celso Dias, was produced in June 1969 and is related to the II Fespopi exhibition, the Festival de Pirapora, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The composition presents a group of graphic signs executed in blue ink and distributed in different positions across the paper. The forms combine straight lines, curves, crossings, open structures and signs with alphabetic or symbolic characteristics, arranged as independent units of a visual language. Their spatial organization replaces conventional verbal sequencing with relationships among signs, exploring variations in direction, form, proportion and rhythm. In the lower section of the sheet appear the inscriptions M ARCAS and M ARCAS, documenting the designation of the work. The piece belongs to the experimental production of Celso Dias presented in the context of II Fespopi in 1969.

A frente apresenta numerosos signos gráficos em tinta azul distribuídos sobre a folha em diferentes orientações. Na faixa inferior há uma linha horizontal que separa a composição principal das inscrições de identificação. Abaixo dessa linha aparece a inscrição datilografada M ARCAS e, mais abaixo, a anotação manuscrita M ARCAS. No suporte maior, sob a obra, encontra se a anotação manuscrita II Fespopi e, entre parênteses, WDP, iniciais de Wlademir Dias Pino. O verso não apresenta inscrições legíveis nas imagens fornecidas. Não foi identificado pseudônimo para Celso Dias. A data de junho de 1969 corresponde ao contexto documental de participação da obra na II Fespopi. O papel apresenta sinais de envelhecimento, pequenas manchas, vincos, marcas de manuseio e perfurações de fixação. Denominação alternativa documentada no verso das obras que participaram da exposição II Fespopi.

The front presents numerous graphic signs in blue ink distributed across the sheet in different orientations. A horizontal line in the lower section separates the main composition from the identification inscriptions. Below this line appears the typed inscription M ARCAS and, further below, the handwritten notation M ARCAS. On the larger support beneath the work appears the handwritten notation II Fespopi followed by WDP in parentheses, the initials of Wlademir Dias Pino. The reverse does not present legible inscriptions in the images provided. No pseudonym has been identified for Celso Dias. The date June 1969 corresponds to the documented context of the work's participation in II Fespopi. The paper shows signs of aging, small stains, creases, handling marks and attachment perforations.
