Impressão gráfica de Hugo Pontes intitulada Forca, obra de poesia visual e arte gráfica construída a partir de uma associação direta entre objeto, símbolo e crítica social. A composição apresenta ao centro a imagem de uma corda preparada como laço de enforcamento, desenhada em vermelho sobre fundo branco. Presa à parte inferior do laço aparece uma gravata listrada, também em vermelho, formando uma fusão visual entre dois objetos de significados distintos.

A combinação entre forca e gravata transforma a imagem em metáfora visual. A gravata, tradicionalmente associada ao universo profissional, institucional, empresarial e às estruturas de poder, aparece integrada ao instrumento de enforcamento. O trabalho produz assim uma tensão entre aparência social, autoridade, trabalho, formalidade, poder e violência. A imagem funciona sem necessidade de texto explicativo, utilizando a síntese gráfica como elemento principal de comunicação.

Na parte inferior direita aparece a identificação HUGO PONTES, confirmando a autoria. Graphic print by Hugo Pontes titled Forca, a work of visual poetry and graphic art constructed through a direct association between object, symbol and social criticism. At the center of the composition appears a rope shaped as a hanging noose, drawn in red against a white background. Attached to the lower part of the noose is a striped necktie, also rendered in red, creating a visual fusion between two objects with different meanings.

The combination of the gallows and the necktie transforms the image into a visual metaphor. The necktie, traditionally associated with professional, institutional and corporate environments and with structures of power, becomes integrated into an instrument of hanging. The work therefore creates tension between social appearance, authority, work, formality, power and violence. The image communicates without the need for explanatory text, using graphic synthesis as its primary form of expression.

At the lower right appears the identification HUGO PONTES, confirming authorship. The work belongs to the artists experimental production associated with Brazilian visual poetry, conceptual art, experimental poetry, semiotics, visual communication, social criticism, symbolic language and relationships between image, object and meaning.
