Soneto T é uma impressão gráfica de Avelino de Araújo realizada em 2003, vinculada à poesia visual, à poesia experimental, à arte conceitual, à geometria gráfica e às investigações intersígnicas relacionadas ao campo do Poema Processo. A composição transforma a estrutura tradicional do soneto em uma construção visual formada por linhas horizontais e verticais pretas. Na região central, o cruzamento dessas linhas produz uma malha regular composta por espaços quadrangulares claros. Na parte inferior, algumas barras verticais prolongam se em diferentes comprimentos, formando um ritmo descendente e irregular. O título Soneto T sugere a associação entre a forma poética do soneto e a letra T, repetida visualmente por meio do encontro entre hastes horizontais e verticais. Cada cruzamento pode ser interpretado como uma letra T ampliada ou como unidade mínima de uma escrita sem palavras. Avelino de Araújo substitui versos, estrofes, rimas e métrica por proporções, repetições, intervalos e relações espaciais. A estrutura também pode remeter às quatorze linhas tradicionalmente associadas ao soneto, embora a obra não apresente uma contagem verbal convencional. The composition transforms the traditional structure of the sonnet into a visual construction formed by black horizontal and vertical lines. Long horizontal lines appear in the upper section and are progressively articulated with vertical bars. In the central region, the intersection of these lines produces a regular mesh containing light quadrangular spaces. In the lower section, several vertical bars extend downward at different lengths, creating an irregular descending rhythm. The title Soneto T suggests a relationship between the poetic form of the sonnet and the letter T, visually repeated through the meeting of horizontal and vertical strokes. Each intersection may be interpreted as an enlarged letter T or as a minimal unit within a wordless writing system.
