At the end of the final row, repetition is interrupted by the Portuguese word oficial, meaning official, which introduces a decisive change in the reading and establishes a verbal relationship between off and oficial. The word off may indicate disconnection, absence, exteriority, refusal, interruption, opposition or a position outside dominant circuits. Through repetition it becomes a visual pattern and constructs an extensive alternative zone that ends with the term official. The transition from off to oficial visually reveals the presence of off at the beginning of the word oficial itself, creating a critical relationship between what exists outside and what belongs to recognized structures. The work combines language, repetition, contrast, seriality, conceptual humor and institutional criticism.
