Clemente Padín from Uruguay, Guillermo Deisler from Chile and Edgardo Antonio Vigo from Argentina formed one of the most important connections within the South American experimental avant garde, linking independent publishing, postal exchange, visual poetry, political critique, semiotics, performance and cultural resistance during the period of military dictatorships in the Southern Cone. The triple repetition of the same graphic block emphasizes multiplication, reproduction, circulation and distribution, essential principles of Mail Art and closely related to the investigations of the Brazilian Poema Processo movement.
