The word Uruguay is graphically divided into URUGU and AY. The first segment is printed in blue and the second in red. This division creates a verbal operation in which the name of Uruguay contains the Spanish interjection ay, commonly associated with pain and suffering. The contrast between blue and red intensifies the rupture of the word and emphasizes the emotional and political charge of the final segment. The lower area contains the inscription O. Jorge Caraballo, printed in blue and functioning as an authorial signature or credit. The opposite side shows the same composition in reverse and with reduced intensity, a characteristic consistent with transparency, ink penetration or graphic transfer through thin paper. A very faint mark is also visible in the lower region of the first image, but it cannot be read with confidence. No date, edition size, printing location or declared technique is clearly legible.
